Harlan R. Anderson, DVM, is a fourth generation crop and livestock farmer from Cokato, Minnesota. He also is a licensed veterinarian specializing in equine nutrition and other large animal practice. Most of the equine research that Harlan conducts is with Land Grant Universities around the country.
Harlan is the developer and manufacturer of Square Meal Feeds, a complete diet horse biscuit. New products coming soon from Squre Meal Feeds will be in the area of cattle, sheep, goats and chickens. A second production facility for Square Meal Feeds is currently under construction.
As a rural developer, Harlan has special interest in commercial and industrial developments. He also a developer of public policy as it relates to agriculture, local, state and national.
Harlan’s wife, Mary, is a retired U of M Extension Educator. They have two sons, University of Minnesota graduate engineers, involved in the farming and feed business.
