Kevin Roberson, PhD

Poultry Nutritionist

Kevin Roberson earned a PhD in Nutrition with a focus on mineral metabolism in poultry from North Carolina State University in 1992. He received post-doctoral training in Vitamin D research at the University of Georgia. Kevin served as an Assistant Professor of Animal Science at The University of Tennessee at Martin and was an Associate Professor and Poultry Extension Specialist at Michigan State University before joining Michael Foods, Inc. in 2005.

In his current position, Kevin formulates diets for laying hens and pullets on a weekly basis for corporate and contract flocks in Nebraska and South Dakota. He also has a robust field research program to test feed additives and estimate nutrient requirements. Kevin has been a leader in the egg industry in the evaluation of bone integrity in layers and studying nutritional solutions to shell quality challenges.
